Terms of use

What you commit to when you hand your line to an automated receptionist, what we commit to, and who answers for what.

What this text covers, and its status

These terms describe use of the service: what the receptionist does in your name, what you must provide for it to do that properly, and who answers for what in front of the person calling.

One point of honesty before the rest: no company is registered yet. This text therefore names no legal entity, and it will be reissued under the registered name as soon as registration happens — which will occur before a first paid signup is accepted.

Prices are not here. They are published on the pricing page, read from the catalogue, and identical for every business within one section.

What you hand over, and what it implies

  • You forward your line to a number we provide; your number stays yours and forwarding comes off from your own handset
  • You write the instructions: services offered, service area, hours, urgency rule, what the receptionist must not say
  • The receptionist answers from those instructions; a wrong fact in your instructions becomes a wrong answer to your customers
  • You remain the business that answered: what is said in your name binds you toward your customers

The rules on calls and messages

  • Every call opens with the recording disclosure; you cannot switch it off
  • Text messages sent in your name respect the recipient's right to be written to: a withdrawal applies immediately, across every channel
  • Using the service for unsolicited bulk outreach is not permitted
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the prices, warranties and commitments your instructions allow to be stated

What belongs to you

  • Your files, transcripts, archived recordings and contacts belong to your business
  • You export them from your workspace, without asking permission
  • You can request deletion, and it reaches derived items
  • Ending the service blocks neither your number nor your data: both leave with you

What we hold to

  • We provide the service described on this site, with the limits written beside each capability
  • We bill what is posted for your section, with no negotiated price and no setup fee
  • We tell you about a change affecting your rights or your data before it applies
  • We let you take back your data and your number, at any time

What we do not promise

  • The service depends on phone networks and third-party vendors: an outage at their end interrupts answering, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
  • We do not guarantee that an answer given in your name is free of error: that is why instructions, limits and the call record exist.
  • We do not take on the commercial consequences of a missed, misunderstood or mis-relayed call beyond what the law imposes.
  • No commitment period is published to date, and we will not invent one on this page.

A question about these terms

Write to us: a clause that reads as ambiguous is a badly written clause, and we fix it. It is the only address published today, and it is read.
