Commercial pest control

You get the account and the site, what was seen, where and since when, the person on site and access hours. Your receptionist gives no product and no re-entry instruction, issues no certificate, and only discusses a site with authorised people.

$39 CAD / month · 50 Standard calls · 1 local number · no setup fee · no contract. Free trial: 7 days, 20 answered calls, no card.

On a multi-site contract, the first question is not “what did you see?”, it is “which site?”. Zenvox, your AI receptionist, identifies the site in English or French, records the sighting, the spot and the person on site, and passes the issue to you. She gives no product, no re-entry instruction and no certificate over the phone. For commercial pest control companies across Canada, it is $39 CAD a month with 50 Standard calls and a local number, no setup fee and no contract. Free trial: 7 days, 20 answered calls, no card.

For the requests you receive

A mouse seen in the kitchen, before the lunch rush

The manager of a restaurant under contract calls. She identifies the account and the site, records what was seen, where and since when, and who is on site. The sighting is filed as an issue and reaches you under your urgency rule; she names no species and promises no visit time.

A report requested before an audit

A client is preparing for an inspection or audit of their establishment and wants their report. She records the site, the audit date and what they are asking for, and routes the request to the account manager. She issues no certificate and does not say what the audit requires.

Extra work outside the contract

An additional treatment, one more visit, a new unit. She opens a separate request, with the name of the person who approves it on the account rather than that of the first person who calls.

Other requests you can delegate

“Was this month’s visit done?”

The property manager wants to know where their site stands. She identifies the site and answers with the planned frequency and the last recorded visit when you track your contracts in Zenvox; otherwise, she records the question and passes it to you. She invents no date.

A call about a house

If a homeowner calls about their own home, she recognises it and records the request apart from your accounts: residential pest control has its own questions — occupants, payer, preparation — and its own page on this site.

The site, the sighting and the access

A written request arrives, tied to 240 Main Street: a mouse seen behind the dish pit this morning, the manager on site until 4 p.m., an audit next week. The issue goes to the technician under the urgency rule, and nobody improvised an instruction.

Tuesday, 11:10 a.m. The technician is on his route in a warehouse. The manager of a restaurant under contract calls, just before the lunch rush.

ReceptionistHello, pest control. Let me take your name, your establishment and a number to call you back first, in case the line drops.

CallerSure, here you go. I manage the restaurant on Main Street. One of the cooks saw a mouse behind the dish pit this morning.

ReceptionistThank you. To make sure I note the right site, can you confirm the restaurant’s address?

Caller240 Main Street. We have an audit next week, by the way.

ReceptionistNoted, with the audit date. Who will be on site this afternoon, and until what time can someone get in?

CallerMe, until 4 p.m. Can we keep cooking?

ReceptionistI cannot give you an instruction: the technician will tell you. I am passing on the sighting right away, with the site and the access time, and you will get a call back.

What she does for you, in commercial pest control

Your clients are accounts with several sites. She identifies the right site first, records the issue in the person’s own words, and passes it to you under your rule.

When an employee reports a pest

  • She takes the name, the establishment and the callback number before asking what was seen.

The manager calling mid-service does not have to repeat herself: the callback is secured in the first sentence.

  • She identifies the account and the site concerned before opening the request.

On a multi-address account, everything that follows is tied to the right site.

  • She records what was seen, where on the site and since when, in the person’s words, without naming the species.

Your technician arrives knowing where to look, and nothing is guessed over the phone.

  • She files the sighting as an issue and passes it to you under your urgency rule.

You decide what goes out right away and what waits for the route.

For access and the visit

  • She records the person on site and the hours when someone can get in.

The technician finds neither a locked door nor a service in full swing.

  • She books the service visit in your slots, at a confirmed access time.

The appointment fits the business’s hours, not only yours.

  • She sends the preparation instructions you approved for that site by message.

Only your instructions go out: she writes none of her own.

Reports, audits and extras

  • She records the date of an upcoming inspection or audit and what the client is asking for.

The account manager prepares the report knowing when it is needed.

  • She routes a report or certificate request to the account manager, without issuing anything.

A certificate is signed by someone who has seen the site, not by the front desk.

  • She opens a separate request for work outside the contract, with the person who approves it on the account.

Extra work does not go ahead on the word of the first person who calls.

  • She recognises a call about a house and records it apart from your commercial accounts.

A homeowner has different questions: occupants, payer, preparation.

Contracts and several sites

Each of these options is added separately, when it helps you.

  • Add-on

She keeps visits due, done or moved, site by site, and answers the manager who asks where their site stands.

A reliable status answer comes from that data, not from a guess. Contracts and recurring service

  • Add-on

She turns an issue into a job assigned to a technician, with the site and access already recorded.

You see who accepted the corrective visit, and for which site. Dispatch and field work

  • Add-on

She keeps the authorised contacts, reports and billing of each site and each company separate.

A report no longer goes to the wrong contact in a network. Multi-site and entities

When the client writes, and if you already have software

  • Channel

She carries on by text with the person on site, and ties their photo to the right site.

Optional SMS channel: the exchange stays attached to the reported issue.

  • Software

With Jobber, she finds the customer and creates the request with the site and the sighting.

Authorisation is given from your Jobber account, which stays your system of record. Connect your software, or use ours

  • Software

With Housecall Pro on the MAX tier, she files the service request in your account.

Without that tier, the request is written into Zenvox, and you pick it up in your tool. Connect your software, or use ours

What she does not do, in commercial pest control

  • She gives no product, no dose and no re-entry time: only your approved instructions are passed on.
  • She does not identify the pest and names no species from a description.
  • She issues no certificate and takes no position on any regulatory or audit requirement.
  • She says nothing about a site to someone who has no right to it, even within the same account.
  • She approves no extra work.
  • She promises no visit time and changes no contract frequency.

What you can ask her yourself

She answers from the calls, requests and business information you have access to. A question about an add-on only applies if you have switched it on.

  • The questionWhich sites reported a sighting this week?

She retrieves the recorded issues, site by site. She does not say whether the treatment worked.

  • Which clients have an audit coming up?

She reads back the audit dates recorded in your requests. She prepares no certificate.

  • Which visits this month are not done yet?

Add-onWith Contracts and recurring service: visits due and done, by site. Without the add-on, she does not track contracts.

What happens to the request

  1. You load your accounts, sites and rules

The accounts, addresses and site identifiers, the frequencies, the people in charge on site, the people allowed to approve extra work, and your urgency rule. And what she does not say: no product, no dose, no re-entry time, no certificate.

  2. The site first, then the sighting

Name, company and callback number first. Then the account and the site, what was seen, where and since when, the person on site and access hours, the contract number if known, and the date of an upcoming inspection or audit.

  3. Issues tied to the right site

You get each sighting, extra or report request tied to the right site, with the right person. What matches your urgency rule reaches you right away; a renewal or a report waits for your callback.

What the Trades and maintenance base covers

A receptionist who answers for you, in both languages, and sends you a written request. No setup fee, and you keep your number.

  • Calls answered in French and in English, following the caller
  • Name and callback number taken first, so nothing is lost if the line drops
  • The work asked for, the place and the wanted timing, written into your request
  • An immediate alert when the situation matches your urgency rule
  • A written summary after every call, readable in the app, and the option to ask her what happened

She gives no product, no dose and no re-entry time over the phone: only your approved instructions, specific to the treatment, are passed on.

Decisions that stay with you
  • She does not identify the pest and names no species from a description.
  • She issues no certificate and takes no position on any regulatory or audit requirement.
  • She shares nothing about a site with someone who has no right to it, even within the same account.
  • She approves no extra work: the request goes to the authorised person on the account.
  • She promises no visit time and changes no frequency set in the contract.

Ask your receptionist, too

This is included in your base plan. She answers using the calls, requests and business information you are allowed to access.

Talk to your receptionist

A question you can ask

Which sites reported a sighting this week?

She retrieves the recorded issues, site by site, with the person on site. She does not say whether the treatment worked.

What else you can hand to her

Beyond the base plan. Each one is added on purpose, separately from the base. None is switched on unless you choose it.

Contracts and recurring service

Visits due, done or moved, site by site: that is the data that lets her answer the manager who asks whether this month’s visit was done.

Dispatch and field work

A sighting to deal with becomes a job assigned to a technician, with the site, the spot and the access already recorded, and you see who accepted.

Multi-site and entities

One account, several sites, sometimes several companies: each keeps its authorised contacts, its reports and its billing.

Contracts and recurring service already includes dispatch for jobs covered by those contracts. The Dispatch and field work option is only added for separate jobs outside that scope.

When your customers prefer to write

You can add a channel so she can continue the conversation with your customers. Any action she takes follows the same rules and the options you have chosen.

Optional customer channel

Customer text conversations

Get a photo of what an employee saw by text, tied to the right site, before you send your technician.

The transactional messages provided by your base plan and your own questions to the receptionist remain included.

Keeping your current software?

Check the actions supported, connection requirements and how to work when your software cannot perform the requested action.

  • Jobber has a pest control offering. The connection is authorised from your account: Zenvox finds the customer and creates the request with the site and the sighting.

  • Housecall Pro also has a pest control page. Writing there depends on the MAX tier: without it, your request is written into Zenvox, and you pick it up in your tool.

Your client is not a household, it is an account and its sites

Residential pest control answers a family that saw a mouse. You serve restaurants, grocery stores, managed buildings, offices and warehouses, under contract. Your client is a manager with several addresses, a service frequency in the contract, reports to deliver and a different person in charge at each site.

In Quebec, a permit is required for businesses that sell or use pesticides. The pest control application category of that permit covers this work, and the authorised activities are carried out by certified employees or under the supervision of a certified employee. The permit is valid for three years.

So your receptionist works by site, not by person. She identifies the account and the site first, then records what was seen, where, since when, who is on site and when someone can get in. The sighting is recorded as an issue, tied to the right site, and reaches you under your urgency rule. She gives no product, no dose and no re-entry time over the phone, issues no certificate, and says nothing about a site to someone who has no right to it.

Commercial pest control — your questions

Does she know which site is concerned?

It is her first question after the name and number. She identifies the account and the site before opening anything, and ties the sighting, the access and the report to that site.

Can she tell a client when they can go back into a treated area?

Only your approved instruction, specific to the treatment, if you have given it to her. She improvises no product, no dose and no re-entry time: without a written instruction, she passes the question on.

A client is asking me for a certificate for their audit.

She records the site, the audit date and what they are asking for, and routes the request to the account manager. She issues no certificate and takes no position on any audit requirement.

Can an employee at another site of the same client get the reports?

Not without the right to. She shares nothing about a site with someone who has no right to it, even within the same account: that is what keeps a report from reaching the wrong contact.

What if a homeowner calls?

She recognises a call about a house and records it apart from your accounts. Residential pest control has its own questions — occupants, payer, preparation — and its own page on this site.

Do I need software?

No. Without software, your requests arrive in the Zenvox app. If you already work in Jobber or Housecall Pro, your tool stays the system of record, and the software section of this page says what connects and how.
